Operations Director

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Role:

To provide strategic and operational leadership of all activities including sudsidiary companies to meet established objectives for the company’s growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure safe operations.

  • To ensure and improve safety and quality performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

  • To deliver annual business plan and operational plan so that operations be compliant with the target costs.

  • To establish HR policy, in conjuction with other Directors and SEA regional HR, which will improve motivation of employees and ensure high quality services to customers.

  • To establish clear performance targets aiming at significantly improving operational performance. To monitor delivery of these targets and to take steps to address any inadequacy.

  • To support the commercial director in order to grow the company through extending current markets and developing new services and new markets.

  • To contribute to the development of company strategy through a thorough, current understanding of the local and national policy context, local competitive forces and local business opportunities, including new technology available in the market.

  • To implement and manage industrial plans aiming at developing company capabilities and reducing production costs.

  • To provide professional leadership to all operational staff at all levels throughout the company.

  • To take responsible for effective management and development of the operations team to ensure the delivery of the quality and cash flow objectives.

  • To prepare industrial cost of the company and provide input to marketing on bid profitability.

  • To support the Project line pipe team as project member for execution.

  • To support the development of the services solutions related to pipe management for our clients customers.

Size of Scope:

  • US$200M annual turnover  plant of and ~800 manpower.

  • Production of  50 to 80ktons of Oil & Gas steel tubes.

  • Logistics activities & assets management including a port.

Location:

Working location : Batam

Regular travels :

  • Jakarta, Singapore.

  • Cities where suppliers are located.

  • Other cities where client group of companies are located.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as Operations Director or General Manager (minimum 15 years).

  • Masters Degree in Engineering ideally completed with a Business Administration diploma.
