Located in Singapore, Hong Kong or Australia, the Director, Research works closely with both the Head of Research APAC and the Head of Hotels & Hospitality APAC.
We are looking for someone who can be an impactful spokesperson for Research to our Hotel & Hospitality clients, in the media and through the various conference organisations. We want somebody who can deliver thought leadership papers and other research-driven outputs, to help shape our house view and provide our clients on market trends, investment ideas and capital allocation strategies. Ideally you will be very familiar with Hotel & Hospitality Real Estate assets.
Being Passionate About Data
You will need to have a real passion for research and data analytics in this role. You will be take a key role in undertaking research to identify trends coverage from the ground up, working with both colleagues and third parties to provide in depth analysis for clients and the business.
The role spans both investor and hotel operator research and the candidate will work closely with the Research and Capital Markets functions to further build on our market-leading research platform. You will help identify synergies and opportunities to collaborate around research projects.
You will partner closely with the Marketing team to develop research-led content strategies to maximize the reach and relevance of research deliverables for our internal and external audiences. This will include thought leadership papers, updating datasets and creating thought provoking presentation content.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree, with at least 8 years of work experience, preferably in the field of research or in a professional services firm. Strong knowledge of the Hotel & Hospitality Real Estate landscape in Asia Pacific would be strongly beneficial.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at varying levels of seniority. Proven ability in understanding, gathering, analyzing and interpreting data. Good knowledge of business fundamentals. Strong attention to detail.

You will need to be someone who can make a strong personal impact and be confident when presenting to large or small audiences. You would communicate thoughtfully and with ease, building rapport and networks.
Proficient in MS Excel, and other MS Office applications; proficiency in SPSS or other statistical packages a plus. Prior work on qualitative or quantitative surveys a plus. Able to work independently.
