Our client is recognized as a key player in Trade Finance in Singapore and throughout the region serving clients with both traditional trade finance requirements as well as those with more complex needs. We are looking for a seasoned individual to join as Head of Trade Origination to lead a team of sales professionals to constantly strive to exceed sales and revenue targets.
The business requires a self-motivated leader with a passion to originate new clients and transactions, capable of delivering win-win solutions for the customer and the Bank. This is a senior leadership role and a dynamic team player with strong sales management experience and the ability to motivate and influence key stakeholders to work in partnership is central to driving revenue and delivering success.
• Reporting directly to Head of Trade key responsibilities will include:-
• Lead, coach and motivate a team of trade sales professionals to aggressively achieve the budgeted revenue target.
• Deliver new ne revenue growth from targeted customers in conjunction with Relationship Managers as well as from internal referrals.
• Increase trade utilization from existing customers to increase overall customer trade revenue and x-sell revenue to the bank
• Implement an efficient sales management process to build and drive prospect and pipeline conversion
• Cultivate good customer engagement at all levels through understanding customers’ requirements, tailoring to provide innovative solutions using the full suite of products.
• In partnership with Relationship Managers ensuring Trade facilities are well structured and efficiently implemented.
• Ensure that the lead time from sales to utilization is the shortest possible
• Constantly raise the profile of Trade and its capabilities by delivering the best and most innovative Trade solutions
• Coordinate and work closely with partners within the business and other Group offices to originate deals and ensure the Bank can provide a comprehensive set of domestic and cross-border solutions.
• Growing intra-Group business.
• University graduate with a minimum of 10-15 years executive experience with a strong sales management and corporate banking background.
• Excellent business/commercial sense with a passion to lead and drive business growth.
• Solid experience in working with customers to structure appropriate trade facilities and/or trade solutions.
• A team player with good interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills and prior experience to leading a team is required
• A deep understanding of the technologies/e-business developments impacting delivery is essential.
• At least 3 years electronic trade exposure through working experience in business units that use these systems is desirable.
